Peach Cobbler Oatmeal

Peach season is the perfect time to take advantage of this fruit and make a quick, tasty and filling breakfast in 10 Minutes. The cinnamon, nutmeg and honey should be something the whole family will enjoy eating.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 cups of water
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 large peaches, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans for garnish, if desired

Directions:

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, add water and salt. Bring to a boil then add the oats, cinnamon and nutmeg, stirring to combine.
  2. Cook for approximately 4 minutes, or until the oatmeal starts to thicken. Then add the peaches and honey and cook for an additional minute. Serve immediately and garnish with pecans if desired.
